Grounding: Day Twenty

YAY!!! We are two-thirds of the way through my 30 day challenge.

I can’t believe it!! I don’t often keep up with things this long! Another ten days and my challenge will be over!

So what are my thoughts today, I hear you ask!

Well, today is a special day because it was snowing! And oh did it look magical.

As I was driving home from a friend’s house the snowflakes started falling in front of my windscreen and I was absolutely enchanted by the scene put before me. It was like the world just got a snapchat filter put on it. The gentle snowflakes fell diagonally from the sky and I found it very hard to keep my eyes on the road!

I decided to take a turn and go to Moulden Hill instead of home. By the time I parked up, the snow was falling quite fast and the flakes were getting bigger.

Moulden Hill is one of my favourite places to go to. In fact, I decided to walk through the trees and venture up the large hill – my usual spot for personal reflection and musings. And I made a little video of my experience.

That first snowfall is magical. The earth is calm, quiet and peaceful when it snows. It’s like a huge white blanket is being gently put on the earth to provide comfort and security. The thick clouds seems to make the air feel more cosy and protective.

One of these days I’m totally going to dress up as Elsa and sing “Let it Go” while on that hill.

I took my shoes off and stood barefoot on the freezing cold grassy hill and just looked around at the view. To my left I could see industrial buildings far away with only fields to separate me from them. Grass, trees and nature was at every corner.

I felt so in tune with the world and The ground was energising, Making my feet numb and tingly.

What a special experience to have for day twenty. My heart is full of love and gratitude and a drive to be the very best I can be.

I know some people might think I’m crazy for grounding in the snow, but in the words of my favourite Disney character:

“The cold doesn’t bother me anyway,”

Laura
