Following my blog post Laura’s Picks Best Gifts for Women 2020,
I was inundated with requests from women asking for gift suggestions for their husband.
You ask, I deliver!
So, here’s my best picks on Amazon for the 50+ aged man.
As I said before, I used to work in a gift shop and choosing presents has become a super power of sorts. Most people would take my suggestions and come back telling me what a hit their gift was! I also do the best gift wrapping…but I can’t wrap you gifts for you, sadly.
What I can do, is create the coolest list of gifts that are sure to surprise and delight the man in your life! A lot of people struggle to think of gifts for the more senior males in the family. Why? They usually have everything they want already. Or they just don’t want anything.
“What do you want for Christmas?” is met with a sigh and a shrug.
“Oh, don’t worry about me.”
Not helpful – right?
So, let’s get on with the list.

DayClocks Time & Day of The Week Wall Clock

I wish my dad was alive today. I would buy this for him in a heartbeat. It’s been an ongoing joke that Dad would always say “people don’t need a watch when they’re waiting for me, they need a calendar!” The thing is, this present isn’t just funny, it’s functional. It tells the time and the day of the week. Jokes aside, there have been so many times a week where I forget what day we’re on. (2020, the struggle is real!)
Folding Lap Desk

Most men love practical gifts. Imagine them on Christmas Day, they’re tired and just happy to sit in a chair and watch everyone get over-excited about their gifts. This is a gift that might make some people roll their eyes, but to many men, this is a dream come true. Sitting up on bed with the laptop, or on a cozy couch just got even better with this handy folding desk. Portable, stylish, sturdy…this will be his new best friend! With over 3,000 5 star reviews, this must be a hit!
Willow Tree Anniversary, Sculpted Hand-Painted Figure

For the romantic. This might be an anniversary gift, but it would be a lovely one to open on Christmas Day. Whether you’ve been together for 1 year or 100, this is a timeless treasure for your man to look at each day and smile, remembering how much you love him.
MESIXI Indoor|Outdoor Golf Putting Green Mat

Not for everyone, but a lot of men love golf. It’s a gentle sport that is also great for problem solving and keeping the old cogs oiled. It rolls up and stores beautifully and will provide many hours of entertainment, come rain or shine.
Witty Yetis Dehydrated Water 16oz Can.

This is another light-hearted one. First off, it’s a water bottle that will be used every day. But the way they’ve packaged it will provide a good chuckle or two from time to time. Perfect for men with a great sense of humour!
The Best Word Search Book Ever Made (So Far)

Large print word search – you just can’t go wrong.
Locking Stash Box with Rolling Tray

You might have heard of a “man drawer” what about a man storage box? All those little nick-knacks around the house, finally have a home. My husband likes to collects weird things that I find around the house all-the-time. At least, until I bought him a man tin. Now he can collect as many batteries, keys, screws, tiny tools and loose change as he wants! (TOP TIP: I would fill this with his favourite nuts/chocolate/candy.)
TESLYAR Wood Phone Docking Station

“Darling, where are my keys? Have you seen my wallet? I can’t find my phone charger!” Those words will be a thing of the past with this fancy-looking organiser. It looks fantastic on a bedside table and it keeps everything in place. BONUS – it has a little hole for his phone charger. How cool is that?
AIEVE Puzzle Box, Puzzle Box for Adults

What if you wanted to just give him some cash? THIS is an awesome way to do just that. These puzzle boxes are absolutely fantastic for problem-solvers. It’s not as easy as it looks, either. PLUS they’re great fun to solve with the grandkids.
Oddly, I find it easier to look for men. I am so sad my dad isn’t alive to spoil him. But maybe you will find some great ideas for the men in your life. Just remember, with gifts, it truly is “the thought that counts.” You can’t really go wrong.
